My neighbor Steve and I want to following the Dakar 2017 race on motorcycles. This page will include details of our preparation and how the trip turns out. We leave for Buenos Aries on 27th December 2016 and get back to Brisbane 15th January 2017. The tour is organised by Outback Adventure Treks and I plan to take my KTM 1190 Adventure R. Are them moment, the following things are up in the air;

  • Will it be cost effective to take my own bike (KTM 1190 Adventure R)
  • If I don’t get to take my own bike, what bikes will we be provided with. Rumor has it, we will be riding Suzuki V Storm 650 or KLR 650s.
  • Who else will be on the trip?
